All Saints’ has a ring of EIGHT bells, in the key of E, which are rung from first floor level. The peal was augmented from six to eight bells in 1988 by the addition of two new trebles, which were donated by the late Mr & Mrs W Coningsby in memory of their son Graham who died in 1971. The new trebles were cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry and the installation was carried our by John Gipson of our sister Parish of Holy Trinity Meldreth. Details of the bells area as follows:

Ringing

We are fortunate to have a loyal Band of Ringers and the Bells are rung regularly between 9.15 and 9.45am on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each immediately prior to the Family Communion Service. They are also rung on other special occasions (eg half-muffled at 10.15am prior to the annual Remembrance Sunday Service). Visiting Ringers are always welcome to join the local Band for Service ringing and can confirm ringing times with Barbara Mitchell on 01763 261518; visiting Bands (eg on outings) are similarly welcome. The number of full peals is restricted to about four per year as the Church is adjacent to residential and business accommodation; for the same reason, practices are held at our sister Parish of Holy Trinity Meldreth – on Wednesdays at 7.30 – 9.00pm.

Anyone who has any interest in our Bells should ring Barbara Mitchell for more information. We would particularly welcome anyone living locally who would like to return to Bell Ringing, or anyone who would like to learn this ancient Art. It is a fascinating hobby as well as a service to the Church.
